In the past the residents of St. Louis Center have enjoyed exciting visual and auditory experiences at Chelsea’s “Sounds and Sights” street fair. In the article below, we are reflecting on the description of past participation in the fair in anticipation for the quickly approaching dates coming up this summer! The residents and staff would love for you to come visit us at Chelsea “Sounds and Sights” between Palmer Automotive and Ugly Dog:

  • Thursday, June 27: 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm
  • Thursday, July 7/4: 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm
  • Thursday, July 7/18: 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm

St. Louis Center is blessed to be a long-standing member of the Chelsea Community. This summer, our residents, volunteers, and staff were given a great opportunity to join Chelsea Chamber of Commerce twice at Chelsea’s “Sounds and Sights”, the local street fair that takes place every Thursday evening.

“Sounds & Sights” fairs are held in Chelsea, Michigan throughout the summer from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Arts, entertainment, and musical acts are performed at various and separate stages throughout historical downtown Chelsea. Every week brings new, family friendly, and free fun to all who attend! Acts include magicians, circus acts, jugglers, face painters, balloon arts, chalk art, and music of many genres.

Center residents meeting the communityIn a collaboration with Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce, “Sounds and Sights” offers a free promotional booth to local business who are members of the chamber. These booths allow members of the chamber to present who they are to the local community. St. Louis Center residents are honored to be able to participate in this because of their hard work.

Residents eagerly welcomed new friends to the table to tell them more about St. Louis Center. At the table literature about St. Louis Center was available along with special treats of candy and bubbles for whoever wanted to partake.
