Randazzo Fresh Market – 8th Annual Men’s Social

St. Louis Center Fund Raiser

Antonino ‘Nino’ Randazzo founded Randazzo Fresh Market in 1972. Nino and his beloved wife Giovanna “Joann”, raised two children whom they taught the value of hard work and community involvement.

In 2014, Nino met Fr. Enzo at an event in Macomb County and promised to do something to help St. Louis Center. Six months later, the first Men’s Social was held at Randazzo’s Fresh Market.

The family was devastated when Nino passed away on September 14th of this year. Just one week before the annual event. Nino was 83 years old.

Thursday, September 21st, was an evening of fellowship, food, football, and fun for about 300 men wanting to support St. Louis Center.

The Randazzo family hosted the 8th Annual Men’s Social at their Macomb Township store. They prepared some of the finest foods from the Italian traditions. Sonny Randazzo, the main event organizer, lost his father just the week before. He said, “My dad may have passed away, but he would want us to continue.”

The Italian-American community treats the work of St. Louis Center and the Servants of Charity with the utmost dignity and respect, as shown by the outpouring at this year’s event. All proceeds benefit the Center.

The Knights of Columbus also had a visible presence this year. Chris Kolomjec, State Deputy; Charles McCuen, State Treasurer; Dan Fuller, State Warden; Walter Winkle, Immediate Past State Deputy; and Larry Grabowski, Executive Secretary, were all in attendance. Ken Unterbrink, Past State Deputy, was also present. He remarked, “It was an amazing evening of fellowship for men united in a singular cause … supporting St. Louis Center and people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.”

St. Louis Center would like to say THANK YOU to Sonny and the rest of the Randazzo team for putting together another fantastic event! Residents and staff greatly appreciate your continued support!
