John Heffron was raised in South Lyon. He attended Oakland Community College, and later Eastern Michigan University. While a student at EMU he was coaxed into signing up to do open mic comedy at Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. Ironically the waitress who suggested it was Lucy Liu. John ended up doing morning radio in Detroit and later made his way into the comedy scene.
Just before the pandemic, John moved back to Michigan to be near his family. He still travels the country putting on comedy shows, including in Chelsea, close to his new home. You won’t want to miss John Heffron’s Pop-Up comedy club “The Fa La Ha Ha” edition.
