LaJolla Jewlers: A Saint Louis Center Gem for the past 25 years, Gloria Miller has been a generous supporter of SLC through her donation of custom jewelry pieces for the Dinner Auction and monetary donations. Most importantly though she has given the most precious gift of her time.
In the early ’90s Gloria was visiting SLC with a friend and the visit was “love at first sight”. Seeing the wonderful environment and providing assistance to those with special needs right here in her own community, really made an impact on her. Since then, Gloria, her late husband Robert (Bob) Miller, and her son Curtis Gough became an integral part of the SLC fabric. “I have a niece with Down syndrome. She has taught me so much. In her honor I got involved at SLC. Over the years, SLC has become very dear to my heart”.
Gloria’s contributions to SLC over the past 25 years are many, including her significant work on the Fall dinner auction, participation on the SLC Community Advisory Committee, and raising money for the benevolent care program of the Center. These are just a few of the contributions that Gloria and her family have been involved with at SLC. The residents, priests, and staff of Saint Louis Center are grateful for their efforts and the impact they have made. Gloria is a SLC celebrity and truly deserving of this year’s John Panelli Celebrity Award.
