The Mystery of Fall
Someone said, “The trees are turning, the weather’s getting cooler, pumpkin spice lattes are back – it’s fall”! Yes, it is. Fall, or autumn, shows us how magnificent these changes can be. There is no explanation for this beauty; we can only enjoy its mystery.
An unknown author wrote, “[Just] as the beauty of the autumn leaves at my feet, when I choose to die to self and live for God, I not only bear much fruit, but the beauty of Jesus Christ radiates outward to others.” We are all invited to bear the beauty of Jesus Christ and share Him with our brothers and sisters. Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat. However, if it dies, it bears much fruit” (Jn 12:24). Fall teaches the philosophy of death and the hope of rising from the dead. The hope to come back to life is a great mystery that cannot be explained perfectly. The fall, the Thanksgiving (turkey) dinner, the pumpkin pie, and the change of colors are inspirations to be grateful for at all times.
Joy-Filled Events
St. Louis Center is enjoying the fall and all its wonders. At the same time, we are grateful to everyone who continues to support and guide us in the direction God wants us to journey.
Sonny Randazzo hosted the 9th Annual Men’s Social at his Macomb Twp. store September 19th. Nearly 300 men enjoyed amazing food, fine drinks, football, and fellowship.
The kitchen remodeling project was well done, and the rededication ceremony was held on September 26th. Bishop Earl Boyea prayed and blessed the newly renovated kitchen.
The ‘Fall Harvest Fest’ on September 29th was a resounding success. The overwhelming support from the IACL members was truly heartwarming, and we are deeply grateful for their enthusiasm, love, and support.
On December 14th, Santa will be at St. Louis Center to have breakfast with each of you. If you are interested, you are most welcome to attend.
Our Greatest Treasure
Among all other things, the Center is continuing to provide for and take care of all the residents in a healthy manner. Our residents are our treasures, and it is our highest priority to provide them with quality services and meaningful events. And there is very special news: we have a new resident on our campus. He is friendly, has great positive energy, and is very prayerful and loving.
All of this meaningful work is possible because of the staff who continue to work hard and provide quality care.
May God bless you for all your support.
