Direct Care Worker Kaitlynn Leonard, Housekeeper Laurie Mathews, and Day Program Coordinator Haylie Gottschalk, work together to help their team win the Marshmallow Challenge.
Providing “best in class” care for the residents can only be achieved by retaining a staff that embraces the Center’s mission. At times, the work is difficult, but it is always rewarding. To help show gratitude in a concrete way, a team of folks equally dedicated to the mission organized the 3rd Annual All Staff Day on September 25, 2025.
The Family Association was on hand to help serve breakfast and lunch, the kitchen staff planned and prepared the meal, maintenance and housekeeping took care of set-up and clean-up, and social services helped decorate. Robin Smith and Summer Read planned games, and Karen David and Cindy Lesser combined forces to be sure that there were prizes for everyone. In addition to providing meals and playing team-building games, several training courses were offered for personal and professional development.
Working at the Center is more than just a job; it is a mission, a mission that becomes a way of life for the dedicated staff.
