Fr. Satheesh Alphonse, an Indian priest wearing a Roman collarDear Friends of St. Louis Center,
Greetings in the name of the Lord!
Summer is a time for community. A season in which we come together to laugh, connect, and celebrate with each other. From the many fundraising golf outings I have attended to the many exciting events our residents have participated in, the St. Louis Center community is strong.
We know that St. Louis Center is not the buildings, the programs, or the events; it’s the people. The residents that call SLC home, the staff that give their all daily, the donors that fund the work we do; this is what St. Louis Center is. We are a community of amazing people growing and working together for a common goal.
As we start a new school year, filled with promise and potential, I hope you will join us in our work. This is a wonderful time to get involved with volunteering for a great cause. Come and meet our residents, spend time playing a game with Lee, help with a fitness class for Lori, or read a book with Kevin. Caring for our neighbors is not only what Christ asked of us, but it also enriches our own lives in meaningful ways. I hope to see you soon.
