Ginny Wheaton
In August 1978, Ginny Wheaton stepped into St. Louis Center to cover a neighbor’s vacation shift in the kitchen, and never looked back. Sr. Lucy, then leading the kitchen, quickly recognized Ginny’s dedication and refused to let her slip away. That moment sparked an extraordinary 36-year journey as kitchen manager.
Ginny kept the Center running strong behind the scenes, and whenever needed, she jumped in to support housekeeping and even direct care. In 2015, she briefly stepped away to recover from a shoulder injury, but true to form, she returned ready to serve in a new way, bringing her steady presence to the nursing office and finance department in a less physically demanding role.
Ginny officially retired May 30th, closing a remarkable chapter of faithful service. The St. Louis Center community gathered on July 18th in the gym to celebrate the lasting impact of her decades of dedication
Randy Seitz
After retiring from a successful 45-years of running a small business in 2019, Randy Seitz didn’t slow down; he redirected his energy toward what matters most: people. He stepped into direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and immediately made his mark.
Day after day, Randy showed up with purpose, warmth, and an encouraging smile. He didn’t just support residents – he mentored, guided, and uplifted them. His influence extended to staff as well, as he trained and inspired colleagues with his deep experience, strong values, and tireless work ethic.
In June 2024, Randy began easing into part-time work, thoughtfully preparing for the next chapter. He officially retired on August 27th, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, professionalism, and steadfast service that will continue to shape the St. Louis Center community for years to come.
