New Leaders to Embrace the Mission

We are so thankful to be celebrating this time of year with amazing supporters like you! 2025 has been an amazing year for St. Louis Center, and words cannot convey how deeply grateful we are for your support.

As we reflect on this past year and look to the future, we would like to introduce and welcome our new Development Director, Jackie Gordon! With a background in marketing, sales, and foundation work, Jackie is deeply passionate about the work at St. Louis Center! We are looking forward to witnessing the good work she accomplishes while embracing the mission.

Also eager to embrace the mission is Tracy Peters. She has stepped into the role of Food Service Manager. Tracy has been cooking since she was 15, from working in a small family diner to large corporate kitchens and nursing facilities. She has found her new home here at St. Louis Center. Tracy comes to work each day filled with joy and looking forward to nourishing the residents with homemade meals.

I really look forward to coming to work every day."  - Tracy Peters

Help cover the cost of benevolent care for residents who could use a little extra support.

Many of the residents at the Center rely on your help to provide the Benevolent Care that is needed to help them maintain their community-oriented life.

We use the term Benevolent Care often here at St. Louis Center, but what does that mean? The Center receives funding from residents (through social security), their families and/or state and federal sources. However, the cost of care exceeds those reimbursements by $3,000 to $5,000 a month per resident, depending on their level of need. St. Louis Center must raise Benevolent Care funds to cover that gap. Those funds provide for direct care workers who provide for residents’ daily needs, shelter, clothing, food, and things like toiletries and supplies.

Benevolent Care donations are tax-deductible and help St. Louis Center provide a dynamic and engaged life for its 55 residents each day. You can learn more about Benevolent Care at St. Louis Center here.
