St. Louis Center is a member of a national organization called “Together for Choice,” which is committed to supporting residential choice for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. On Thursday April 8, 2021, St. Louis Center was featured in a national zoom conference that featured St. Louis Center and the new St. Louis Guanella Village. Led by COO Deana Fisher and Public Relations Director Joe Yekulis, the seminar began with the 61 year history of St. Louis Center, and then detailed the evolution of St. Louis Guanella Village and its completion as an intentional community, providing a continuum of care for children and adults with I/DD. St. Louis Guanella Village is being portrayed as a national model for how to care for people with I/DD.
