A Huge Thank You!

Each year, St. Louis Center conducts an exciting raffle that draws in a wide range of supporters and coincides with the Golf and Glory Outing. This year the grand prize was an Alaskan Cruise filled with beautiful sights and activities! It takes a tremendous effort on the part of volunteers to sell the amount of raffle tickets that we did. These contributions make a huge and direct difference in the lives of the residents.

Event Chairman Ken Unterbrink headed up this year’s raffle.

Passionate Parishes

Ken Unterbrink, the chairman of the Alaskan Cruise Raffle, coordinated with the Knights of Columbus at multiple parishes. Their priests agreed to host ticket sales and arranged for volunteers to be present for all of the weekend Masses at St. Mary, Chelsea; St. Mary, Pinkney; St. Andrew, Saline; St. John the Baptist, Ypsilanti; and Old St. Pat’s, Ann Arbor. Members of the Knights of Columbus and Guanellian Cooperators spent their busy weekends at parishes in the area attending all the Masses and working diligently. After the successful event, Ken stated:

“Around 80% of sales this year were a direct result of the Knights of Columbus’s efforts!”

Many other parishes, priests, and community members helped pull off this wonderful fundraiser. We thank and commend the many volunteers, and everyone who purchased tickets, who helped make this happen!

With the help of chairman Ken Unterbrink, our diligent volunteers, and the wide-reaching generosity of the Knights of Columbus, a total of 15 parishes helped us reach our raffle ticket goals. The residents and all of us here at St. Louis Center are eternally grateful for their commitment to the mission of the Center and the hours of labor that they volunteered.
