To help keep the residents on the go, a generous donor pledged a $50,000 matched gift.

Spring is in the air!

We are thrilled to announce a new development that will open up more exciting opportunities for the residents of St. Louis Center. We have received an incredible anonymous challenge match of $50,000 to support our ongoing transportation needs!
Shift into spring and join us in our Get Moving Match! With your support, the residents will experience increased freedom of mobility and enjoy more independence as they travel throughout Chelsea and surrounding areas. Currently, the Center relies on two well-loved vans that have served the residents for many years but are now showing signs of wear, making transportation less reliable. By replacing them with newer and safer vans, we can ensure that all residents continue to enjoy their outings with comfort and ease.
Mobility is a gateway to community and connection! With your help, more residents will be enabled to volunteer in the community, such as delivering Meals on Wheels. Residents will also travel in our new fleet of vehicles to special events like Tigers games and Special Olympics. Most importantly, they will have easy access to healthcare resources, such as doctor visits and therapy appointments. All of these activities require safe, well-maintained vehicles. By raising funds for reliable transportation, St. Louis Center is opening up a world of new opportunities for the residents, and we need your help to make it happen!
