There are many things to celebrate during March: National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Women’s History Month, World Down Syndrome Day, World Social Work Day, World Music Therapy Day and the list goes on. One celebration that the residents particularly enjoy is St. Patrick’s Day – March 17th.

This year Laura Rayer, Activities Coordinator, got her supplies in order, including lots of green paper and green markers. She had several crafts planned to help the residents learn about St. Patrick and the “wearin’ o’ the green.”

Day program staff members served Shamrock shakes to everyone as they returned from work and the kitchen staff made an amazing Irish feast for dinner.

There was no shortage of smiles and happy folks throughout the day.
