St. Louis Center

What to Support

We seek to raise funds for three priority areas:

Priority 1: Annual Residential Support
St. Louis Center's 2018-2019 budget is approximately $5.8M. The Center must raise more than $2M in general operating funding in order to provide for the ongoing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and adults with I/DD. When you provide residential support, your gift enriches the quality of life of the residents and allows for continuous learning opportunities.

Through the Legacy Project, residents are benefiting from new enrichment programs including fitness, music therapy, adaptive dance, technology, and gardening.

Priority 2: Capital Support to Continue to Build the St. Louis Guanella Village
Realize St. Louis Center's vision of creating an intentional community for people of all abilities on its rural Chelsea campus through its Legacy Project. A $10M capital campaign was completed in January 2018. Additional capital funds are needed to construct the following: remaining infrastructure, Cottage Homes for adults with I/DD, Family Homes, Village staff and leasing office, Fitness Center, retail space, chapel, priests' residence, and plaza.

Priority 3: Endowment Support
When you support St. Louis Center's Endowment Trust you are helping to ensure the highest quality of services to people with I/DD for decades to come. The Endowment Trust has been established to provide benevolent care to eligible individuals.

The Catholic Foundation of Michigan manages the St. Louis Center Endowment Fund to assist with managing these funds. You can make a contribution on their secure website HERE.

Overall Goal: $30M
Grand Total Raised-to-Date: $1.5M
