St. Louis Center



Children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at varying degrees of ability are admitted without regard to race, religion, economic status, cultural background or national origin. At this time, St. Louis Center serves the needs of ambulatory children ages 6 to 17, and ambulatory men and women ages 18 and older.

criteria.jpgProspective residents must have an IQ of 70 or below and a diagnosed disability. Many individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities also have substantial limitations in three or more of the following areas:

  • Self care
  • Receptive and expressive language
  • Learning
  • Mobility
  • Self-direction
  • Capacity for independent living
  • Economic self-sufficiency
