Social Work Department

Our friendly social work staff provides a variety of services to our residents. During the admissions process, they provide evaluation and goal setting for all incoming residents. Together with parents, teachers, nursing staff, and the resident (where possible), an annual person-centered plan is developed to help achieve each resident’s highest potential. Social work staff then meets on a quarterly basis thereafter to reevaluate and update these goals.

The social work department also coordinates all resident appointments and visits and processes paperwork as required by the state, county agencies, and the local school system. Our social work staff provides counseling to residents and parents as needed and may assist in developing behavioral plans with direct care staff. Finally, the social work department provides advocacy training and other seminars for residents and parents on a regular basis.
