Benefactors
Foundations and Grants
St. Louis Center benefits from many private charitable foundations throughout the year. Private foundations are generally defined as non-governmental, not-for-profit organizations that have their own capital funds managed by a board of trustees or directors. Their objectives are to aid or maintain a charitable, educational, religious, or social service program operating in the community.
A grant is what is used to describe the funding that is given to a non-profit organization to assist in a specific capital project, program or operation.
St. Louis Center is a 501(c3) non-profit organization, and has benefitted from many wonderful foundations through the years that have provided us with capital support. Annually, St. Louis Center receives over $100,000 per year in grants for specific projects. Many foundations stipulate that there be no notoriety from their charitable giving, so for all those who have helped St. Louis Center in this and past years; you have our thanks and gratitude.
If you are a member of a foundation board looking to assist an organization such as St. Louis Center, please email our Development Director, Peggy Cole, at peggyc@stlouiscenter.org for follow-up contact with your organization.
